About the Role As a Cycling Department Manager, you will combine a passion for sports with leadership skills to create a thriving environment for both the team and customers. You will develop and implement strategies to enhance the customer experience, drive sales performance, and foster a passionate and collaborative team within the department. Key Responsibilities Drive omnichannel performance and growth Develop and implement a localised omnichannel strategy aligned with store goals to maximise sales across all channels Build customer loyalty by providing exceptional experiences at every touchpoint Optimise retail spaces, both physical and digital, to improve product discovery and conversion Champion safety and circularity initiatives, ensuring compliance and promoting sustainability practices Set, monitor and achieve commercial objectives and profitability targets across all sales channels Build and manage a high‑performing team, providing coaching and development plans Foster a positive work environment that embraces Decathlon values and culture Ensure fair, inclusive and respectful workplace and enforce company policies Plan staffing to align with commercial objectives and organisational changes Oversee daily store operations, including scheduling, security and team availability Maintain product availability through effective inventory and supply‑chain management Who You Are Sports enthusiast and leader, passionate about fostering a thriving team environment Customer‑centric, dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences and building community relationships Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to drive growth and achieve KPIs Effective communicator who listens, adapts, and provides constructive feedback to develop others Key Skills and Abilities Planning & Forecasting – prepare action plans for key periods and promote products meeting customer needs Performance Management – optimise layout, promotion and stock to maximise sales and profitability Sales Force Management – lead and motivate the team to hit targets and seize opportunities Stock Management – ensure reliable stock and efficient inventory practices Commercial Strategy – analyse trends, define audiences, and execute strategy to meet objectives Product Range Selection – curate a range aligned with seasonal demand and customer needs Financial Management – oversee P&L for the department to maintain profitability Activity & Team Management – drive activities, debrief and monitor progress against goals Circular Economy Promotion – support trade‑ins, repairs and rentals to boost sustainability Safety & Security – uphold safety regulations and protect customer data Team Development and Recruitment – mentor, review, and onboard talent for growth Human Resources and Scheduling – manage workforce structures, labour laws and daily operations Benefits and Perks Healthy discounts on all Decathlon products Fun weekly staff sports and activities Cycle‑to‑Work scheme Training at Decathlon Academy Discount vouchers across categories via SmartSpending discount hub Job Details Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Sales & Business Development Industries: Motor Vehicle Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
