City Of London, United Kingdom Creative Mentor Network Full time

Trustee for creative charity - Volunteer Join to apply for the Trustee for creative charity - Volunteer role at Creative Mentor Network. Help break the class ceiling in the UK’s creative industries. As a Trustee of Creative Mentor Network, you’ll guide strategy and champion socioeconomic diversity, supporting young people from lower‑income backgrounds to access and thrive in creative careers. What difference will you make? As a Trustee, your leadership will help shape the future of Creative Mentor Network and strengthen our ability to change lives through mentoring. Your strategic insight will guide how we grow, sustain our work, and ensure every young person we support has access to the creative opportunities they deserve. Mentoring sits at the core of everything we do. It has the power to transform lives by connecting young people with professionals who can inspire, guide and open doors. A single mentoring relationship can build confidence, expand horizons and turn ambition into action. Many of our mentees go on to secure roles in the creative industries, while mentors gain a deeper understanding of inclusion and how to create fairer workplaces. By joining our Board, you will help us expand this impact. Your decisions will influence how we reach more young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, train more mentors to be inclusive leaders, and build partnerships that sustain our mission. Your contribution will not only shape a stronger, more resilient charity but will also help create a creative sector where talent, not background, determines success. What will you be doing? Our Board brings together professionals from across the creative, business and charity sectors who share a commitment to tackling class inequality. We are a small but active group focused on strengthening CMN’s financial sustainability, governance and long‑term impact. Our biggest challenge is diversifying income beyond corporate partnerships to ensure stable and independent growth. Over the next three years, we aim to deepen our impact through new partnerships, evidence‑led storytelling and stronger evaluation of our programmes. We are now seeking Trustees who can bring expertise in risk and governance, business development, fundraising, or the charity sector to help us achieve these goals. New Trustees will play a key role in strategic decision‑making, supporting the CEO and senior team, and may join sub‑committees aligned with their skills. What are we looking for? We are looking for Trustees who are passionate about tackling class inequality and creating a fairer, more inclusive creative sector. You’ll share our belief in the power of mentoring to unlock opportunity and will be motivated by helping young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds access and thrive in creative careers. Our ideal Trustee will bring experience operating at a senior or strategic level, ideally within a charity, creative organisation or purpose‑driven business. You will understand good governance, collective decision‑making and how to balance ambition with accountability. Strong financial or organisational literacy is important, along with the ability to assess risk and support sustainable growth. We are particularly keen to hear from people with expertise in risk and governance, fundraising, business development or the charity sector. Equally, we value lived experience of the barriers faced by those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, as this perspective helps keep our work authentic and focused on real‑world impact. Above all, we’re looking for thoughtful, collaborative people who are willing to share their skills, networks and insights to strengthen Creative Mentor Network’s mission and help more young people realise their potential through mentoring. #J-18808-Ljbffr
