With years of experience and a commitment to excellence, we partner with top automotive manufacturers to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.Job OverviewWe're currently looking for an experienced Resident Quality Engineer to support one of our automotive clients and their customer base.You will be the first point of contact and escalation for quality issues raised by associates of the customer on site. Once notified of an issue you’ll be responsible for preliminary investigation of suspect parts and work with the originator to better understand the issue, agree and implement an immediate containment plan.After investigation you’ll also be responsible for compiling a detailed report of the issue or concern and feedback the findings to the suppliers manufacturing plant based in Italy.Once the report has been completed you then need to drive the supplier plant to implement both containment and corrective actions at source within their manufacturing plant. The status and outcome of these actions will then need to be communicated to the customer quality teams for acceptance and monitoring and closure.Some of the manufactured parts will include engine wiring harnesses, temperature sensors, connection cables, overmolded plugs and clock springs.RequirementsApplicants should have previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry, be able to communicate at all levels and be familiar with problem solving and 8D methodology.Please Note: All candidates must possess valid right to work in the UK without restrictions and must undergo a standard criminal record check (DBS).BenefitsWorld-Class working facilitiesExciting automotive manufacturing projectsFree on-site Car ParkingCompetitive Hourly Pay Rate (Dependent upon Experience)Equal Opportunity EmployerAutoscan UK Ltd is an equal opportunity employer.
