Employment Details Salary £38,500 per annum (depending on experience) – subject to pay reviews. Permanent full‑time position. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM; regular overtime on Saturdays (x1.5) and Sundays (x2). 45 hours per week. 25 days holiday + bank holidays. Company van (personal use included), laptop, phone, and power tools. Paid door‑to‑door and ongoing training and development. Company pension scheme and health‑care scheme. Role – Field Service Engineer Maintain, service, and repair third‑party material‑handling equipment. Complete all service, repair, warranty and inspection jobs allocated daily to a high‑quality standard. Work on a variety of material‑handling equipment, including large machinery. Build strong rapport and relationships with customers through professional behaviour and a customer‑focused mindset. Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve standard technical problems, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction. Develop skills and knowledge of the organisation’s products and service. Comply with all legal and company standards, such as code of conduct and H&S practices. Travel to other areas as scheduled by coordinators. Qualifications and Experience Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar Level 3 qualification – essential. Experience with heavy‑plant equipment and hydraulic systems – essential. Ability to read and follow electrical wiring diagrams. Experience in heavy plant / material‑handling background – essential. Fault finding and diagnostics of CAN BUS systems and electrical faults. Able to work from heights – essential. Good IT literacy, numeracy and analytical skills. Flexibility and adaptability, including participation in an on‑call rota. Willingness to travel as required.
