Sheridan Maine is working with a respected and expanding accountancy practice in the West Midlands to recruit an Audit & Accounts Manager. This is a senior role offering the opportunity to manage a varied client portfolio, lead audit engagements, and support the ongoing development of the firm in a professional and supportive environment. Main duties of an Audit and Accounts Manager: Manage and oversee a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. Lead and review audit engagements, ensuring compliance with accounting and auditing standards. Supervise the preparation and review of accounts for limited companies, charities, and other entities. Support junior staff with technical guidance, mentoring, and development. Assist with practice management, including workflow, WIP monitoring, and process improvements. Maintain and develop strong client relationships and contribute to business growth initiatives. Qualifications to succeed in the Audit and Accounts Manager role: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification. Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading audit assignments. Strong technical knowledge in audit, financial reporting, and accounts preparation. Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
