Paint Sprayer SupervisorRAF Marham, PE33 9NPFull Time, Permanent (39 hours per week)£34,262.00 per annum and benefitsHere at Serco, we are currently recruiting a Paint Sprayer to join our team at RAF Marham. This role is responsible for undertaking / supervising painting and finishing tasks for the MoD and the delivery of Surface Finish in a wide range of tasks including surface preparation (abrading, paint stripping, DMS/PMS abrasive blasting masking, cleaning, and pre-treatment), and the application of associated finishes on all MoD assets.The Paint Sprayer / Supervisor must comply with all Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Aviation Safety requirements. They will be responsible for notifying Management of any anomalies, failures, defects, and corrosion, which may give rise to a poor-quality product and/or endanger Aviation Safety.Main responsibilities of the role include:Performing surface finish supervisory tasks in accordance with the quality policy procedures and standards required.Manual (Abrading), Chemical and Media paint removal methods on Aircraft, Aircraft components and numerous MoD ground assets prior to repainting.Applying and supervising a high standard of paint finish to Aircraft, Aircraft components and numerous MoD assets using various paint schemes utilising modern paint application equipment.Ensuring that appropriate health and safety aspects including COSHH, and Risk Assessments are strictly complied with, including control of entry by unauthorised personnel into work areas.Ensure that all paints and associated materials are correctly stored in accordance with instructions.Managing SF tasks and teams in their Areas of Responsibility (AOR) and ensuring that correct trade practices are employed, and a high-quality product is produced.Carry out on the job training (OJT) as required to assist tradespersons with their professional development.Be prepared to challenge/report others who display unsafe/unapproved behaviours and practices, including stopping tasks where an unsafe practice or variance from approved process is observed.What you'll need to do the roleAppropriate experience as a RAF Painter & Finisher tradesperson or time served civilian equivalent in the trade of Aircraft/Automotive Body Shop painter.A Full UK Driving Licence.Ability to follow defined procedures and work instructions.Desirable - NVQ Level 3 in Aeronautical Engineering (Surface Finish pathway) or equivalent qualificationWhat we offer:25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Annual leave purchase scheme.Up to 6% contributory pension scheme.Serco discounts which include cinema, merlin entertainment and online shopping discounts, and discounts on mobile phone plans and leisure centre memberships.A range of benefits to support the health and wellbeing of you and your family such as Employee Assistance Programme, Health Cash Plans, and more.A wealth of career development training to suit your future aspirations.
