Children’s Social WorkerTeam: Duty Integrated Front DoorLocation: BoltonRate: £37Details:Based at Castle Hill working across the borough the role is to provide purposeful, professional social work duty service to children and families and partner agencies within the Integrated Front Door in accordance with statutory requirements and Departmental Policies. Arrange services and screen referrals which require further assessmentContribute to ‘front door’ duty provisionGather information to decide if Section 47 (Child Protection) enquiries are required or if a children and family needs assessment is needed.Provide a duty service to all office visitors Candidates must be able to meet the needs of the service and be able to be office based in Bolton. Free on-site parking 37 hours per week – full-time post Responsibilities Provision of a purposeful, professional social work duty service to children and families and partner agencies within the Integrated Front Door in accordance with statutory requirements and Departmental Policies. Contribute to the planning and development of the Team’s and the Department’s Referral and Assessment Services as required and as appropriate. Participate in the organisation and administration of the work of the post so that the job of providing the service gets done. Provide management information to assist in the setting, implementing, and monitoring of the Department’s strategies and services. Contribute to the allocation of the work of the Team. Participate in providing a duty service to all office visitors. Gather information to decide if Section 47 (Child Protection) enquiries are required or if a children and family needs assessment is needed. Work directly with partner agencies and families offering advice and guidance using a range of social work knowledge and skills. Contribute to ‘front door’ duty provision which involves the provision of generic advice and information to all office callers. Arrange services and screen referrals which require further assessment. Qualifications DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work Social Work England registration Enhanced and in date DBS certificate. Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available. Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups Possess knowledge of service needs. Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems. Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
