If so, this could be the role for you.As our Commercial Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering cyclical and planned improvement works across our housing portfolio. You’ll take the lead on all commercial and quantity surveying activity – managing financial controls, overseeing procurement, monitoring performance, and ensuring we maximise value across our contracts.Working closely with the Contracts Manager and Head of Investment, you’ll provide expert commercial leadership, guide strategic planning, and influence key decisions that directly improve outcomes for our residents.This is a high-profile and rewarding role where your expertise will shape how we invest in our homes today and for the future.About usAt A2Dominion, we’re more than a housing provider. We’re also a proud member of the G15, helping lead the sector and tackle the housing crisis.Key responsibilitiesLead commercial management of cyclical and planned investment projectsManage financial and contractual arrangements with contractors, including valuations and final accountsPrepare tender documents and pricing frameworks for procurementOversee procurement activities, ensuring compliance and long‑term valueMonitor project expenditure, produce cash flow forecasts, and identify financial risks earlySupport monthly and strategic reporting for senior leadershipManage designated budgets and ensure value for moneyAssess contractor claims and agree final financial termsLead and develop a small team, fostering excellence and continuous improvementCollaborate with stakeholders across Property, Finance, and ProcurementEnsure compliance with KPIs, Health & Safety, and environmental standardsAbout youHNC / HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related disciplineMembership of RICS or CIOB (or working towards)Minimum 7 years’ experience in commercial management and contract administration (NEC, JCT)Strong commercial and financial track record, ideally in housing or constructionSkilled in procurement, contract delivery, and dispute resolutionAbility to produce clear specifications, tenders, and contract documentationExcellent reporting and analytical skillsConfident reading technical documentation and engaging stakeholdersProficient in Microsoft Office and contract management systemsStrong understanding of financial planning, risk management, and complianceHands‑on leadership style with ability to motivate and develop teamsBenefits30 days’ holiday (plus Bank Holidays)Up to 8% contributory pensionInclusion at A2DominionWe’re proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
