OverviewAudit Quality DepartmentThe audit quality department is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of quality initiatives across the practice. Joining the audit quality team at this point would allow you to be at the forefront of change and would offer you a unique opportunity to help shape and develop practical initiatives to improve audit quality.The role will involve collaboration across the business, including QAD, NATs and the AQCs and will provide you with an insight into various aspects of the audit process.The audit industry is continually evolving but the consistent theme is the increased focus on audit quality.About the JobResponsibilitiesLine management of Audit Quality Champions (AQCs) in the consistent delivery of the quality strategy within the service lineInvolvement in the Quality Response Team meetings and the development of quality proposals for consideration by the Audit Management Board (AMB)Regulatory liaison for file reviews/ firmwide work and other information requests and projects. This would involve supporting the audit teams with the meetings and file review responses and for organizing and monitoring firmwide information requestsRoot cause analysis reviews and subsequent quality action planningSupporting in the development of supportive coaching plans for RIs where relevantManagement of independence reviewer allocations and the management and reporting of authorisations to the AMBMonitoring quality actions and providing status updates to the Head of Audit QualityThere would be further opportunity to work on other quality initiatives as part of the wider audit quality enhancement plan.RequirementsStrong technical auditing and accounting skills, both from a performance and review perspectiveExperience dealing with regulatory reviews and engagementA proven quality track record/ experienceProven leadership skillsOutstanding oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues in a concise and understandable mannerStrong people management skills and confidence in providing feedback and challenging in a constructive and professional wayConfidence and a proven track record in project management alongside the adaptability to deal with changes to timelines and plansA strong understanding of proportionality and the ability to make sound decisions about the significance of issuesA challenging and sceptical mindset coupled high a high attention to detailDiversity and Inclusion at RSMAt RSM, we want to create a strong sense of belonging so that people of all identities, backgrounds, and cultures feel they can bring their true self to work.
