Eden Brown are seeking a dynamic and skilled Mechanical Engineering Lecturer with a specialisation in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) to join a leading Further Education College in Greater Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of engineers, whether you are looking for a full-time or part-time role, and a temporary or permanent position.
About the Role:
As a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer, you will teach, support, and mentor students in the field of CAD, helping them develop the skills needed to thrive in the engineering industry.
You will deliver engaging lessons, create high-quality learning resources, and support students through both practical and theoretical elements of mechanical engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and up-to-date lessons in CAD, focusing on software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other industry-standard tools.
* Provide practical, hands-on teaching experiences in CAD software and engineering design principles.
* Support students in their assignments, projects, and examinations.
* Contribute to curriculum development and ensure teaching materials are current and reflective of industry standards.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
* Work closely with the department to foster a positive, collaborative learning environment.
About You:
* You will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, ideally with a degree or equivalent qualification in the field.
* Demonstrable expertise in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.), with the ability to teach both beginners and advanced students.
* Previous teaching or mentoring experience is an advantage, but not essential - enthusiasm for sharing knowledge is key
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and support students effectively.
* A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
