Booking Coordinator - NHS Experience Required (Endoscopy Experience Preferred but Not Essential) Location: Scarborough Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: Up to £14/hour (PAYE, inclusive, banding dependent on experience) Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and organised Booking Coordinator to support operations. The role involves working closely with clinical teams, including consultants, nurses, and healthcare assistants, to coordinate patient appointments efficiently. Key Responsibilities Booking, amending, and confirming patient appointments to minimise DNAs and maximise clinic capacity. Preparing clinic packs and managing paperwork for clinical colleagues. Coordinating clinics and managing escalations as required. Handling incoming patient calls and emails with professionalism and accuracy. General hospital administrative duties as required. Communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and internal teams. Ensuring smooth operation of clinic workflows through proactive organisation. Requirements Previous experience as a Booking Coordinator is essential, ideally within the NHS. Endoscopy experience is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work proactively. Solid IT skills and experience with relevant hospital systems.
