Apprentice Audit and Assurance Specialist ASW Assurance Join to apply for the Apprentice Audit and Assurance Specialist ASW Assurance role at NakedK9 Design, LLC Job Summary Internal audit is an in‑house team with the Director of Audit and Assurance Services reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and to the Audit Committee, which is a sub‑committee of the Board of Directors. Internal audit has a wide remit, covering both financial and non‑financial systems and activities of the Trust. ASW Assurance delivers internal audit, counter fraud and consultancy services to healthcare organisations including acute, mental health and foundation trusts, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and social enterprises. Main Duties of the Job Contribute to the delivery of ASW Assurance's Business Plan. Assist the Audit Manager/Assistant Audit Manager, as appropriate, in the delivery of client operational internal audit plans. Ensure that all audit work conforms to the expectations of the quality standards and professional expectations (e.g. duty of care, independence etc.) as stated in the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards and ASW Assurance procedures. Ensure that all allocated audit work is completed within timescales as stated in the client operational audit plan of the client/agreed with the Audit Manager/Assistant Audit Manager, as appropriate. Achieve personal and business related objectives and targets set as part of the annual Individual Performance Review (IPR) process and documented in the agreed personal development plan. Ensure an understanding of the client's business activities is maintained and to keep abreast of current issues within the NHS and internal audit profession. Person Specification Essential Attained at least Level 2 Maths and English (equivalent to GCSE grade 9-4 (A*-C)). GCSE Pass in English and Maths or Functional skills level 2 A levels or a Level 3 qualification (BTEC, Diploma, T level) Experience of teamwork Demonstrable experience in reviewing and critically evaluating complex data and information Strong organisational and administrative skills and experience. Experience of self‑management to meet deadlines Good analytical skills, including the ability to review data, clarify a problem, detect trends and identify potential discrepancies and inconsistencies. Good report writing skills, with the ability to convey complex information accurately and to a variety of audiences. Demonstrable ability to use MS Office products, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to analyse and present data. Strong attention to detail, ability to maintain accuracy when dealing with a range of complex or non‑complex information. Ability to work under pressure, flexibility in prioritising, planning work and multi‑tasking to meet deadlines. Ability to respond to complex problems and queries, whilst recognising when appropriate to refer to the Senior Audit and Assurance Manager. Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver work effectively. Desirable Experience of working in an office environment. Understanding the importance of objectivity and professional integrity, including compliance with the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards. Awareness of internal controls.
