This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting and controls environment. You will support statutory and management reporting, month-end close activities, and contribute to process improvements within the finance function.**Key Responsibilities*** Support **month-end and year-end close** processes, ensuring accuracy of journals and reconciliations.* Manage the **client bank reconciliation** process.* Oversee the **eMoney** process, ensuring a thorough understanding of transaction flows, maintaining reconciliations and investigating variances.* Ensure correct **segregation of client cash** from the overall cash position and execute necessary transfers to maintain balance.* Prepare **Investment Bonds** and **Treasury Bills** journals, ensuring accurate valuation, recognition and accounting for coupon receipts and redemptions.* Maintain and reconcile the **suspense** **general ledger account**, ensuring no unreconciled balances remain at month-end.* Assist in preparation of **statutory accounts** and **audit schedules**; liaise with external auditors and provide detailed walkthroughs.* Ensure compliance with **internal controls**, accounting policies, and financial procedures; maintain and update relevant procedures to support continuous improvement.* Perform shared service duties on behalf of the **EU Entity**, including managing **investment bonds**, **client bank reconciliation**, **suspense account reconciliation** and managing the **eMoney** process.* Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting tools, and process efficiency.* Ad hoc financial projects and analysis as required by the Financial Controller.**Key Requirements****Essential:*** Qualified accountant (**ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent**).* Strong understanding of **UK GAAP** and/or **IFRS**.* Solid experience in **financial reporting**, **general ledger management**, and **month-end close**.* Proficiency with **Excel** and familiarity with financial ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Netsuite).* Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work cross-functionally.* Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities.**Desirable:*** **Banking/Fintech** background* Experience working in a **Financial Control or Group Finance** environment.* Experience with **Oracle E-business Suite**.* Exposure to **process automation** or **system implementations**.We are a subsidiary of the Edenred group and leaders in prepaid solutions including banking, virtual cards, debit, credit, and prepaid processing.As an Edenred PayTech employee you will get the support and structure that you need to enjoy your work and develop your career while doing what you love and making a difference in a fast-paced and innovative business.**What you will get:*** 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays* Hybrid working environment (min. 3 days per week in the office)* Pension Scheme – employer 6% with minimum employee contribution 3%* Medical & international travel cover (leisure and action sports)* Income protection* Life insurance (4x salary)* Wellbeing Employee Assistance Program (extended access to family members)* Holiday trading scheme* Season ticket loan* Cycle to Work scheme* Employee discount shopping platform* Employee referral bonus scheme* Digital learning platform* Complimentary fruit and other ‘in office’ snacks & refreshments* Volunteering programme* Social events**Diversity:**Edenred PayTech are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
