Our Lincoln based Client is looking to recruit a Junior Product Design Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is a market leader in their area of expertise and is looking for a very creative and proactive Candidate.
THE ROLE
Your responsibilities as a Junior Product Design Engineer will include:
* Assist the existing NPD team in preparation of technical artwork eg. instruction manuals.
* Administration of instruction manual logging and archiving.
* Designing products alongside the Designers and Product Managers
* Generating and updating 3D CAD models in Solidworks.
* Creating BoM and specification sheets for product lines.
* Assisting with concept prototyping and product inspection builds.
* Conduct strategic market research as necessary.
* Support off-site activities such as safety testing, photo shoots etc.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal Junior Product Design Engineer will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:
* Proficient in SolidWorks, InDesign and Illustrator.
* Experience in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Degree qualification in Product Design or equivalent qualifications/experience.
* Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment, and be a highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task and have a high attention to detail.
* Confident, able to work on own initiative, enthusiastic & excellent communicator.
* Hands on approach to design, practical thinker.
* Proven ability to work as part of a small team will be crucial to success.
