We are looking for an existing or aspiring Ward Leader to lead and manage our acute care of the Elderly ward specializing in high quality dementia care.You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver excellent clinical and emotional care to support the ward's inpatients, whilst taking overall clinical and managerial responsibility for the Ward. You will be supported by a Clinical Matron linked directly to the Ward. This role requires you to be flexible, resilient, and forward thinking.If you have a dynamic and compassionate approach with excellent leadership and management skills and would like to join our team ,we would love to hear from you.This role is full time - 37.5 hours per week (days, nights, bank holidays & weekends).Main duties of the jobRequirements of this role include;Proven experience in managing a care delivery team (ideally a multi-professional team).A commitment to the highest standards of clinical care, supporting older people in the acute hospital.The ability to work well under pressure in a complex changing and sometimes challenging environment.Excellent organisational and time management skills, being able to prioritise demanding workloads to meet deadlines.A willingness to work in ward staffing numbers to support clinical practice, and safe staffing as appropriate.Experience of working in the specialty of dementia and care of the older person, would be a significant advantage.
