Operations Team Leader Lloyd & Whyte (part of Benefact Group) is looking for an Operations Team Leader to join our Community Broking team in Taunton. Salary: Circa £40,000.00 (depending on experience) Working hours: 35 hours per week Duration: Permanent Location: Somerset About The Role: As an Operations Team Leader you will lead your team and partner with stakeholders to deliver retention and income targets while supporting the Insurance Consultant role, ensuring cultural, service and efficiency objectives are met. What You'll Be Doing Managing and developing individual and team performance through coaching and development plans and partnering with Learning & Development. Operating within an agreed resource budget, prioritising and allocating resources effectively and recruiting suitable staff within employment legislation. Maintaining technical competence and depth of knowledge of products, market trends and underwriting guidelines to assist with referrals and handle complex work. Supporting, motivating and communicating relevant information to the team, ensuring a strong service‑and‑retention culture. Providing professional support and advice to customers, ensuring high levels of service and exceeding expectations while maximising cross‑sell opportunities. What You'll Need To Have Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance or equivalent qualification. Dependable leader with performance‑management skills and ability to work in a trusted environment. Confident communicator, able to manage relationships and deliver an excellent client experience. Proficient in building a results‑driven team focused on short‑and‑long term goals while empowering individuals. Resourceful, organised and deadline‑driven with good time‑management and self‑motivation. What Makes You Stand Out Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Insurance (preferred) or equivalent.
