Person Specification Essential Requirements Provide cover for absence of other HCAs when required. Experience within a health‑care setting and in a GP practice. GCSE English and Maths (C or above) 4 or above. Care Certificate. Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Basic IT skills, computer literate. Ability to work independently following verbal or written instructions. Adaptable to change and work under pressure, remaining calm. Strong commitment to confidentiality. Phlebotomy, ECGs, blood pressure and 24‑hr BP checks proficiency. Desirable Knowledge of SystmOne. Experience of NHS health checks. Wound care (dressings/simple). Vaccination and immunisation course. Ear syringing, spirometry. Health and safety awareness. Awareness of blood‑borne viruses.
