If you’re passionate about precision, quality, and craftsmanship, we would love to hear from you Job Details Location: KillingholmePosition: Vehicle Paint TechnicianContract: Temporary Ongoing Contract, Guaranteed 22 weeks of workStart date: Monday 24th NovemberSalary: £22.00 per hour About the role Working under the supervision and co‑ordination of the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out any necessary minor paint work repairs using small, medium area repair technology (SMART) to ensure vehicles are in pristine condition prior to dispatch and that all vehicles comply with company standards and health and safety regulations. Key responsibilities Prepare and carry out any necessary paint repairsEnsure that all vehicles are painted to the manufacturers required standard using appropriate repair techniques (SMART)Ensure materials are used within the manufacturer’s instruction and minimal usage for effective repairRemove and replace / fit protector mouldings, transfers and decalsApply finishing materials, water and solvency based materialsCarry out masking and sanding proceduresPrepare substrate for refinishingApply colour matching techniques and carry out paint rectification and touch up workCarry out buffering and burnishingInspect paint and trim work to ascertain recommended repair proceduresMaintain the upkeep of all workshop tools and equipmentEnsure health & safety procedures are followed at all timesUndertake any other duties as directed commensurate with the level of the job function About you Over 22 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with fewer than 6 penalty points, and have no DR10 offenses for insurance purposesNVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle spraying or similarMinimum of 2 years’ experience in vehicle paint sprayingMust pass a skills test that evaluates Colour Matching Techniques, Paint rectification and touch up work using both Water and Solvency based materialsBasic understanding of health and safety and cooperate with managers to comply with Health & Safety regulations If you’re ready to be part of a dynamic team and ensure our vehicles are always in top condition, we want to hear from you Apply directly or email your CV directly to Charlotte – Catjobs@rms-recruitment.co.uk RMS is an equal opportunities employer.
