The post will be based at Eastbourne District General Hospital but will also include some cross-site working. We welcome applications from enthusiastic, motivated, and conscientious individuals with excellent interpersonal skills.Main duties of the jobYou will need to understand organisational and departmental objectives and be experienced in working within a multi-disciplinary team. Knowledge of national performance targets and strong leadership qualities are essential. You should be a team player, capable of managing your workload, balancing tact and assertiveness, and working calmly in a busy environment. For questions, contact the appointing manager.Person SpecificationQualificationsGood general education, including Maths and EnglishManagement qualification (Diploma/NVQ 3/4) or equivalent experienceExperienceProven administration experience within the NHS or similar large organizationPrevious managerial experience, including staff management and developmentExperience working in a busy environment with competing demandsSkills/Knowledge/AbilitiesUnderstanding of national targets and booking initiativesExcellent communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and external contactsAbility to handle difficult situations professionallyInitiative and teamwork skillsDiscretion and confidentialityProficiency in IT, including MS Word, Excel, and OutlookAdditional requirementsThis position is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
