As a Nursing Associate in Fracture Clinic you will work as part of the fracture clinic team to provide high quality care for patients who have had orthopaedic injuries and treatment. This is a unique opportunity to work within a specialist outpatient fracture clinic which aims to provide specialist care and achieve optimal patient-centred outcomes. We are seeking an individual with the important attributes of compassion, commitment, excellent communication skills and teamwork. An interest in orthopaedic care and wound care are important. We will provide education to enable you to develop your skills in enhanced wound care, casting and splinting as well as enhanced orthopaedic knowledge in practice. You will provide support to patients during their outpatient appointments to ensure they have a positive experience. You will also support the team to provide an outreach service to the inpatients as required. You will be a key member of the clinic team which includes Registered Nurses, Orthopaedic Practitioners, Nursing Associates, Doctors and Physiotherapists. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team who work 9.5 hours per day. This post is for 2 days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays).
