As Operational Excellence Support Manager youd lead projects and improvements that go beyond our rolling stock. Youll be transforming our sites keeping colleagues safe and making sure welfare and workplace standards are the best they can be. Its a role that blends project delivery safety leadership and operational change all while working with a wide range of teams across Engineering Operations Production and most importantly Safety. What youll be doing Leading non-rolling stock projects from planning through to delivery making sure theyre safe efficient and on time. Acting as the day-to-day contact for infrastructure programmes representing the TrainCare Centre with both internal and external partners for example Network Rail. Driving operational improvements spotting inefficiencies and introducing smarter processes and digital solutions to improve fleet availability. Taking a visible lead on safety ensuring high standards are always maintained and promoting a safety-first culture. Overseeing welfare services and facilities from rest areas to administration so colleagues have what they need to do their best work. Working closely with stakeholders across the business to balance priorities reduce disruption and deliver change that lasts. About you An HNC or HND in Engineering or Production (degree level is desirable). Project management skills a PRINCE2 qualification or similar experience. A NEBOSH Certificate or the willingness to work towards one. Experience of delivering change management and improvements in an operational setting. Strong communication influencing and stakeholder management skills. The ability to motivate / inspire others solve problems and keep projects moving on time and on budget.
