The opportunity We're seeking a Finance Analyst to join the newly formed Retail domain within IAG Loyalty. This part of the business covers a diverse and expanding portfolio of direct-to-consumer (D2C) digital propositions, including multiple e-commerce stores, an affiliate marketing platform, an online travel booking portal, and an Avios sales platform. Reporting to the Retail Finance Lead, this role will provide finance business partner support across the Retail domain, helping to maximise commercial value from trading decisions while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of finance activities, including forecasting, performance analysis, financial reporting, accounting, and audit support. This role is based out of our London office. We call our approach to hybrid working The Blend - it's about giving you the flexibility to choose where you do your best work, while staying connected with your team and the wider business. This means you will be required to spend at least two days per week in the office, with the rest of the time working from home. You may also be required to work from one of our other office or partner locations, based on your role and 'to do' list. What you'll get up to Business partnering across the Retail domain, using the latest performance and market trends to forecast future outcomes. Play an active role in weekly trading reporting and review sessions, providing proactive insights and analysis to help shape trading decisions. Identify and analyse performance risks and opportunities, working with functional leads and the Retail Finance Lead on mitigation and opportunity realisation plans. Produce monthly reporting for the Retail leadership team, delivering clear and insightful analysis of key revenue and profitability drivers. Support supplier contract negotiations and renewals by assessing proposals to identify financially optimal outcomes. Prepare financial analysis, modelling and business cases to support investment decisions. Challenge cross-functional business partners to ensure decisions are made using robust assumptions, support budget adherence and drive performance improvements. Work closely with the Retail Finance Manager and collaborate with the Group Reporting team to support statutory financial reporting and respond to internal and external audit queries. Provide ad hoc financial support and analysis as required. What we need from you A strong business partner with the ability to build effective, trusted relationships across the Retail domain and wider organisation. Adaptable, self-motivated, and resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills. Curious and eager to learn, openly seeking feedback and pursuing continuous improvement. An excellent communicator, able to convey insight clearly and engage stakeholders at all levels. Confident working with data, with strong verbal, written, numerical, and data-handling skills. Comfortable in a fast-moving environment and able to manage shifting priorities. A proactive team player who can flex to meet deadlines and support colleagues. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, including using pivot tables, lookups, index/match, and working with large data sets.
