We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, qualified and HCPC/NMC registered Anaesthetic ODP or RN (with an anaesthetic qualification) to join our Theatre teams in BCUHB 'Central' – covering Glan Clwyd, Abergele and Llandudno (Ortho) Theatres.Our skilled Anaesthetic team covers a wide range of specialities including Maxillo Facial, Urology, Colorectal, Vascular, Gynaecology, Breast, ENT, Trauma, Orthopaedics, Emergency and Obstetrics. Other areas covered are Ophthalmic theatres, pain clinic, community dentals, ECT, MRI, CT, Gastro and cardiology.Anaesthetic ODPs/AN RNs are part of the hospital cardiac arrest/trauma team and respond to emergency bleeps whilst working closely with the ITU, supporting internal and external patient/critical care transfers.All practitioners are encouraged to participate in the training and development of students and to enable their own personal development.Main Duties of the JobThe post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based patient care. Clinical expertise is used during all phases of the peri‑operative period.Provide skilled assistance in anaesthetic, surgical and post‑operative care.Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, meeting the needs of patients without direct supervision.Assist in the management and organisation of clinical and satellite areas, implementing improvements to working practices identified by audit/clinical trials.Participate in the education and development of other staff members.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.Working for Our OrganisationBetsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is the largest health organisation in Wales, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services for a population of around 700,000 across North Wales.Join our team and receive support aligned with our Organisational Values and ‘Proud to Lead’ competence framework.
