The Role of Switchboard Operator

Immediate start for a Switchboard Operator to join a busy NHS department. This role will suit an experienced call handler with a friendly and confident telephone manner.

**Main duties of a Switchboard Operator will include**:

- Handling telephone calls
- Directing calls to correct area/department
- Dealing with ad hoc queries in a timely manner

The ideal Switchboard Operator will have the following skills and attributes:

- Ability to work productively in a busy environment
- Excellent Telephone manner
- Strong and open communicator
- Ability to show compassion and empathy
