Cogent Staffing are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Controller to join our client in Bradford. This is a permanent, dual office / production-based role, with working hours of 5 days out of 7. Shift & salary : £13.75 per hour. Permanent role. Half in production, half in the office. Office Hours : 7 AM to 4 PM. Sunday & Tuesday : 6 AM start Other Days : 7 AM start Finish time : Once production is complete for the day. Flexible Hours : If additional hours are needed, employees can complete tasks in the office after production. Weekend Requirement : Must be available to work on Sundays. Key responsibilities : Complete daily technical and quality paperwork, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Monitor production lines for quality, labeling, and compliance with specifications. Ensure hygiene procedures are followed, including monitoring line cleaning and PPE changes. Conduct regular tests (ATP, Gluten) and maintain records of checks (PPE, jewellery, site temperatures). Collect samples and swabs for weekly microbiological testing. Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly. Manage supplier files, ensuring all specifications and certifications are current. Collaborate with the NPD team during product launches to confirm specifications. Create and update work instructions as necessary. The candidate : Previous experience in quality assurance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of internal and external audit processes. Confidence in managing and executing audit activities. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in both production and office settings.
