Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 deputy sister/ charge nurse to join the nursing team on ward 14. The successful post holder will lead the team to deliver high quality compassionate care and support patients to meet their daily needs.The ward is busy with a high patient turnover and the position requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who has knowledge or experience in leadership. You will need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills. A polite and courteous manner towards patients and relatives will be essential for this role, together with your ability to work under pressure as part of the team on a busy medical ward.The successful candidate must be caring, compassionate and possess a positive attitude to supporting colleagues in the delivery of high quality, safe, effective care for our patients.We are at the forefront of the Trust's digital agenda utilising: NerveCentre (electronic patient monitoring and handover) and Live staffing linked to patient acuity / dependency called SafeCare live. In this you will be assisting to lead a team of dedicated and committed staff, securing and assuring the highest standards of safe and quality patient care.You must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.Interested individuals must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, be proactive and have a keen willingness to learn as well as share knowledge.
