About The Role Night Porter, Hotel du Vin Location: Hotel du Vin Bristol City Centre Rate of Pay: £14.50 per hour (inc Tronc) Type of Contract: Fixed Term 3 months / Full Time / 40 hours per week Job Description The Night Porter is instrumental in overseeing the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This hands‑on role manages the guest expectations and ensures the brand standards are maintained. The Night Porter takes responsibility for the Food & Beverage Department during the night, welcomes guests in a friendly manner, keeps public areas immaculate, cleans meeting and event spaces preparing them for the next day and assists guests with luggage and any enquiries. A nightly Health and Safety audit is also carried out. The role requires organisation, communication and a proven track record in a similar position. Qualifications & Experience Experience in a similar role beneficial. Experience of night shift work essential. Organised and excellent communicator. Work Hours & Flexibility We are open 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Shifts can be discussed at interview and we offer great flexibility for those who need it. Career Development Nationally recognised apprenticeships and detailed brand training are available. Successful candidates can progress to Night Supervisory or Assistant Night Management roles.
