Job summary This is a role for a highly skilled Sous Chef to create fresh, nutritious meals for the residents of Gildawood Court, a 60‑bed Residential, Dementia and Palliative Care Home in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The role involves supporting the Head Chef, leading by example, and showcasing high‑level hospitality with creative flair. The successful candidate will have experience with the IDDSI framework and a passion for using the best fresh ingredients to prepare delicious and healthy meals. Main duties of the job As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and service of meals for the residents of Gildawood Court. This includes menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring that all dishes meet the IDDSI framework requirements. You will need to have excellent culinary skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a strong commitment to providing high‑quality care through the provision of fresh, nutritious meals. It would be great to hear from you Person Specification – Qualifications Essential The successful candidate will have significant experience as a Sous Chef, with a strong background in healthcare or senior living catering. A relevant culinary qualification, such as an NVQ or City & Guilds, is preferred. Experience with the IDDSI framework and a passion for using fresh, high‑quality ingredients are essential.
