Trust Education is seeking a committed, patient and resilient Year 2 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant (TA) to join one of our warm, inclusive client primary schools in the Wakefield area. This full-time role is to start as soon as possible and is ongoing.

The successful candidate will be supporting a Year 2 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and presents challenging behaviour including episodes of aggression. The ability to speak Russian is essential to support communication and help the pupil access learning effectively.

You will play a key role in supporting the child’s emotional wellbeing, engagement, and learning, helping them to thrive within a structured, nurturing environment.

We are looking for someone who:

* Has experience supporting children with Autism (ASC), SEMH and/or challenging behaviour.

* Is confident working 1:1 with KS1 pupils, in particular Year 2.

* Can speak Russian to support communication needs.

* Shows a calm, consistent and empathetic approach.

* Works well as part of a supportive team of educators and specialists.

* Is committed to building positive relationships and promoting pupil progress.

* Is available full-time, starting immediately, on an ongoing basis.

In return, you will be supporting a child in need of additional support and ensuring that they can engage in to a fulfilling educational journey throughout their time at primary school. The role will present many challenges but also provide you with a sense of fulfilment once you have built a rapport with the child. You will be supported by the team at Trust Education, where we pride ourselves on making the right matches for both our staff and partner schools.
