Job Overview The successful candidate will join Partner Samuel Hill, who has extensive experience supporting clients affected by serious and life‑changing medical negligence. Sam specialises in complex cases including birth injuries, surgical errors, mental health negligence, and fatal claims, often involving inquests. Recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, Sam is known for his empathetic and strategic approach, helping clients and their families navigate difficult circumstances with care and clarity. He is committed to improving patient safety and has led national campaigns, including advocating for standardised suicide risk assessments across the NHS. You will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload while also assisting senior team members with more complex, high‑value cases. You'll handle cases from start to finish, using your commercial and analytical skills to identify key issues and propose practical solutions for our clients. Whenever possible, you will aim to secure interim payments to facilitate rehabilitation, care packages, and suitable accommodation before claims are concluded. Key Qualifications 1yr PQE+ experience in Medical Negligence The ability to take instructions from clients and give sound legal advice Demonstratable technical experience gained within medical negligence Demonstrable experience assisting seniors across high‑value complex cases The ability to manage own caseloads whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail and seamless service The ability to operate independently and work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for our clients We're a national law firm with a local reach.
