Our work helps deliver Bristol’s sustainability targets in partnership with the council.Bristol Waste’s commercial operation, where we serve businesses and organisations across the region, is also growing.Our ambition is to provide good quality, value for money services, and we continue to deliver a social value impact worth more than £30 million every year.We want people who share our values and want to work with us to drive our business forward.Purpose of the role:To train in all aspects of vehicle maintenance gaining experience and qualifications to provide efficient and effective high‑quality vehicle maintenance and support to all employees of the workshop.Key Responsibilities:Ensure fleet compliance records and workshop reports are completedcorrectly in date and efficiently retained.Conduct quality control inspections.Repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions.Ensure vehicles comply with statutory legislation.Ensure Brand image is of high standard.Trouble shooting breakdowns.Performing preventative maintenance.Contain costs.Evaluate service and parts options.Ensure facilities are secureEssential Requirements and Qualifications for the Role:Working knowledge of the vehicle repair industryAbility to work with Job Cards.Qualifications in vehicle maintenance or working towardsHold a full driving licence valid for use in the UKTo be able to attend training on related productsFull Job Description can be provided upon request.Annual leave package of 25 days plus 8 bank holidays.Employer contribution of 5% into the company pension scheme.Support for Mental Health, including a BUPA Employee Assistance Programme that provides support covering Mental Health, Financial and Family related topics.
