We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Junior Payroll Administrator to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in payroll and human resources. Job Summary The Junior Payroll Administrator will assist in processing payroll, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to employees regarding payroll‑related inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a commitment to accuracy, and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing Assist in preparing and processing various monthly payrolls. Ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness. Data Entry Input and maintain employee payroll information, including hours worked, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments. Compliance Ensure payroll practices comply with statutory guidelines and GDPR regulations. Employee Support Address payroll‑related inquiries via Service Now, providing clear and timely responses. Record Maintenance Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee data, timesheets, tax documentation and scanning. Administration Assist with processing employee benefits and deductions. Reporting Generate and distribute payroll reports for management and audits. Problem Solving Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies with a focus on accuracy and customer service. Essential Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). 1–2 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or a related field. Ability to handle sensitive employee and payroll information with discretion and integrity. Familiarity with UK payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements including GDPR. Strong problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and external parties. Strong organisational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Desirable Familiarity with systems – Workday, Resource Link, Service Now. Benefits Hybrid working – 2 days working from home per week and 3 days at our Chessington site. A competitive salary ranging from £27,000 to £30,000 per annum. Company bonus.
