We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Deputy Home Manager to maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for the young people in our 5-bed home in Farnborough. As a Deputy Home Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children\'s home, playing a key role in ensuring all young people are provided with excellent standards of individualised care. You will work with openness and compassion and be a positive role model to our young people and staff team.If you are an experienced Deputy Home Manager or Senior Support Worker looking to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you. For over 30 years, we have been committed to providing specialised, high-quality residential care, education and therapy for young males aged 11-18 with developmental trauma who have displayed sexually harmful behaviour. We work to reduce the risk our young people pose, meet their complex needs and help them to manage their physical and behavioural difficulties, so they can leave their past traumas behind, build healthy relationships and lead responsible and rewarding adult lives.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children\'s home and contribute to maintaining a safe, nurturing, trauma-informed environment for 11-18 year olds in a 5-bed home in Farnborough.Provide excellent standards of individualised care and act as a positive role model to young people and staff.Work with openness and compassion and promote a child-centred approach to care planning and service delivery.QualificationsLevel 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent e.g. Social Work Degree)Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or a commitment to achieve this qualification)Previous experience working with children and young people in residential settingsExperience in a senior role/deputy position with managerial responsibilitiesStrong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed careRole DetailsSWAAY is committed to safeguarding children.
