OverviewI am a happy 6 year old boy with Autism and Global developmental delay. I would like a personal assistant to initially spend time at home with me while mum is there but eventually for you to take me out on trips once I get to know you. I use a wheelchair outside the house but can walk around at home and would like encouragement to talk a few steps outside. I am mostly non-verbal and love playing on my tablet. I’m fascinated by cause and effect, marble runs, cars, building and knocking things over. I love books and spending time with my cat. I do not like to be around other children or around loud noises I can’t control. I like routine and things to be done the same way.Location: Norwich, NR1Details: - Taking me out on trips and encouraging a few steps - Encouraging my speech - Personal care, changing nappies - Assisting with mealtimes - Keeping me safe - Supporting me around other childrenPersonal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post.
