It is advisable to refer to this when submitting your application for the post.Job Purpose: An opportunity as a personal assistant has become available to support a 44-year-old lady living with a learning disability in her home and in the local community.Location: NR1 Norwich and surrounding area.Details:Meal preparation – support to learn to cook new meals from scratchAdmin support – support to deal with any post, emails, telephone calls, forms and billsSupport to do food shoppingAttend medical appointments with employer, providing support to help the employer understand what is being said to her and taking notes so she can refer to them if neededSupport to go out into the local communityPerson specification:Understands how a learning disability can affect someone’s lifePatienceUnderstanding of AutismOwn transport to use for work purposesReliableFriendlyTrustworthyGood listening skillsCan take notes and relay informationSummary terms and conditions:The rate of pay for this position is £13 per hourHours and times of work: 5 hours a week, spread over 2.5 hours on a Tuesday and 2.5 hours on a Thursday 10.30 am to 1pmOther duties will be discussed if/when deemed appropriate but everything that will be expected will be explained prior to acceptance of the positionThe annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeksAccess to free training for employed workersIf this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual trainingThe post is subject to the following:A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employerSatisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employerCompletion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 monthsKey ResponsibilitiesMeal PreparationDomestic CareSocial + Leisure activitiesSupport to remain independentTrainingEssential PA GuideSafeguarding Adults/ChildrenFood HygieneFirst AidHand hygieneTransportationFull UK driving licenseOwn personal carPlease apply by clicking above or at ukcil.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
