Are you ready to lead a transformative programme that will shape the future of research funding at the University of Bath? We’re looking for a Programme Manager to take the lead on our Research Recovery Rates Programme – a critical initiative aimed at improving how we recover costs from externally funded research. This is a high-impact role that will run over two years, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference across the University. About the role This is your chance to be at the heart of a major institutional initiative, working with senior leaders and making a real impact on how research is funded and sustained. You’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, committed to enabling world‑class research. Your responsibilities lead and drive the Research Recovery Rates programme from inception to delivery work closely with the Head of Research Funding and the Director of Research and Impact Services to shape strategy and ensure alignment with institutional goals collaborate across departments to engage interested parties, capture insights, and implement change develop and manage project plans, timelines, and reporting mechanisms find opportunities for improvement and innovation in cost recovery processes About you have proven experience of working in a research or higher education setting, with a top-level understanding of research costing and funding management demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels be a strategic problem solver, willing to ‘try and fail quickly’ in pursuit of innovation show excellent organisational skills and attention to detail have a collaborative mentality and the confidence to inspire change Further information This is a full-time role for a fixed-term period of 24 months. We are focused on cultivating an inclusive and nurturing work atmosphere.
