Join to apply for the Chef De Partie - Term time only role at Thomas Franks Ltd. Location: Huntingdon. Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Salary: £22,902. Hours: 37.5 per week. A co-educational private day and boarding school in the village of Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire. Catering for about 1200 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with a good amount of hospitality throughout the year. The location is split between the senior school and Prep school down the road. This is a 7 day a week operation so work patterns would be 5 over 7 days. We are looking for a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Huntingdon - term time only. You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level. You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset. Key Responsibilities To work well in a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and teachers To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company's brand standards Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and waste is controlled Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed You Will Have The Following Skills A genuine interest in food & excellent customer service An all-round team player Innovation and passion for great food An organised Chef with attention to detail Understand the basics of food cost and wastage Knowledge / Competencies Good understanding and use of verbal English Good standard of written English and reading skills Similar experience of customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred Benefits Wider wallet scheme (discounts at major retailers, restaurants, gyms etc.) Free meals on duty Volunteers leave – up to one day per year.
