Join a forward-thinking food manufacturing site that prides itself on innovation, quality and continuous improvement.Be one of the first applicants, read the complete overview of the role below, then send your application for consideration.You'll be part of a supportive engineering team working with modern equipment, varied technology and the opportunity to make a real impact every day.What You'll Be Doing You'll play a key role in keeping a busy production environment running smoothly by carrying out maintenance, repair and improvement work across a wide range of equipment and systems, Responsibilities include: * Mechanical maintenance of motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics and more * Electrical work on motors, sensors, valves, control gear, servos, instrumentation, power distribution and safety systems * Carrying out settings, documentation, measurements, tests and calibrations * Fault-finding, root cause analysis and delivering effective fixes * Selecting the right parts and coordinating with stores to maintain stock levels * Suggesting improvements to boost uptime, safety and quality across the plant * Providing technical support to operators and assisting with commissioning new equipment * Maintaining control and weighing equipment * Working safely and hygienically at all times What We're Looking For * Recognised engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering * Experience with building services (e.g., boilers, refrigeration, air handling) * Confident using CMMS systems * Background in the food sector (desired) * Experience with packaging machinery * Familiarity with complex control systems Skills & Capabilities * Strong diagnostic skills and effective corrective maintenance * Ability to read electrical & mechanical schematics * Knowledge of maintenance methodologies (PPM, CBM, PM, TBM) * Welding experience (TIG/Arc preferred) Why You'll Love This Role * A stable Monday-Friday shift pattern with no nights * A dynamic environment where no two days are the same * Opportunities to shape improvements and influence engineering decisions * Work within a team that values safety, innovation and continuous learning If you're a proactive engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving and being part of a team that's always striving for better, this role is an excellent next step.As you know over here at Zest we like to do things properly and always want to keep you, the candidate in the loop. xsabvtc Applying to this 'one of a kind' role you give Zest permission to hold your information.If you want to know more about how Zest look after your personal information please visit our privacy policy on the website
