Health&Safety and Facilities Officer

Salary : £32,000 Shift Pattern : Monday to Friday Location : Nuneaton, Distribution Centre. Essential skills required : NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (essential). IOSH Managing Safely (desirable). Proven experience in health & safety and facilities management within a warehouse or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Ability to influence and engage staff at all levels. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits across warehouse operations. Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Deliver health and safety training and inductions for all staff and contractors. Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training. Liaise with external bodies (., HSE, fire services) as required. Facilities Management Oversee the maintenance and servicing of warehouse infrastructure, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and fire safety systems. Manage contracts and relationships with external service providers and contractors. Ensure the site is clean, secure, and operationally efficient. Monitor and manage energy usage and sustainability initiatives. Coordinate building repairs, refurbishments, and improvement projects. Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation. Prepare and present reports on safety performance, facility status, and improvement plans. Support internal and external audits and inspections. What do we offer?
