HGV Mechanic – M38 Little Hulton Pay Rate: £14 – £23 per hour Shifts: Monday to Friday, and every other Saturday | 8 : 00am – 6 : 00pm CareerMakers Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join one of our clients based in the M38 Little Hulton area. In order to apply for this job you MUST have the below: Experience & Requirements Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic / Technician essential. Strong diagnostic and repair skills. Experience with Scania and Volvo vehicles preferred. C+E licence entitlement desirable but not essential. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic numeracy and literacy skills to complete job documentation. Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative. Main Responsibilities Repair and maintain company vehicles and trailers safely and efficiently, in line with current regulations. Carry out all VOSA inspections and MOT preparations. Perform fault diagnosis, stripping, fitting, and component replacements. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with Health & Safety standards. Complete all paperwork and documentation accurately. Communicate effective with the Transport Manager and workshop team. Follow workshop procedures and meet deadlines. Use all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Demonstrate flexibility with shift patterns when needed. Benefits Full training provided on-site.
