About the roleAs our Crewing Officer you will arrange crew changes for nominated vessels, plan the right seafarers to the right ships ensuring high standards of compliance. You will also provide important support to the crew such as ensuring crew deployments are conducted safely, efficiently and with a high priority on costs. In this role you will become fully familiar with the crewing (Shipmate) system as well as other systems such as OCIMF.As we operate our vessels on 24-hour basis, 365 days of the year, there will be a requirement to respond at short notice and weekend working will be required.As Crewing Officer, your responsibilities will include :Crew changes - Includes arranging travel / immigration, checking documents, updating supplier tracking sheets applying for documents CRA's / CECs), ensuring Fleet Personnel Email correctly managed, checking invoices, communicating with travelers / vessels / agents and all related matters.Travel Invoices Co-ordinationPayroll reporting to Crewing ManagerFinancial reporting to Crewing ManagerPeople reporting to Crewing ManagerShipmate SuperuserUpdating of the crewing records in such systems as OCIMF and the Shipmate systemUploading and checking that the correct documents are retained within the crewing systems.Arrange for Drug and Alcohol screening for company vesselsAssist and provide information for incident investigations on assigned vesselsAssist and be involved with Seafarer conferences as requiredSupport annual review of procedures by feeding back to Crewing ManagerParticipation in audits as and when required.Out of hours coverExperience, Skills and QualificationsCrewing ExperienceUnderstanding of documentation, SMS and OCIMF TMSA STCW MLC etcStrong organisational, communication and administrative skillsAbility to respond to stakeholders in a positive and professional mannerNumerate / Excel skillsGood team playerAbility to respond to stakeholders in a positive and professional mannerStrong organisational, communication and administrative skillsContinuously review activities and seek opportunities for continuous improvement, procedures, systems, activities.Seagoing certification is not a requirement but preferable.Must have the right to live and work in the U.K. #J-18808-Ljbffr
