Job Description The Outbound Fleet Regional Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering UK Fuels’ strategic objectives and contributing to the overall success of the York office budget. The role is accountable for executing the company’s sales strategy at a regional level through development of high-performing teams, cultivation of strong customer and stakeholder relationships, and identification of new business opportunities. This is a full-time, on-site position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Your Responsibilities Day To Day Will Be Providing second-line management and leadership to three first-line managers and multiple sales FTEs. Reviewing business MI (Management Information) and translating insights into actionable strategies to enhance performance. Ensuring best‑in‑class data management practices across the operation. Collaborating with central business functions to deliver exceptional service levels (SLAs). Compiling, monitoring, and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) and commission structures. Conducting bi‑weekly one‑to‑ones with team managers and formal monthly reviews, while supporting ad‑hoc agent coaching sessions. Overseeing resource planning, including holiday and absence management, alongside all HR‑related requirements. Leading recruitment activities, including assessment centres and interviews. Managing contact strategies and commercial activity for customer onboarding and broader portfolio management. Developing and coaching direct reports and sales teams to identify and nurture future talent and leadership potential. Overseeing all classroom‑based training requirements, including new starter inductions. Leading by example—setting and maintaining high standards of performance, professionalism, and accountability. Proactively collaborating with key internal stakeholders to align on strategic objectives. Designing and delivering engaging, interactive, and informative quarterly and annual business launches. Qualifications Proven experience in a Sales Manager position with strong analytical capability and the ability to lead both individual contributors and Team Managers effectively. Previous experience within Fuel Solutions is advantageous but not essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Salesforce is preferred. A practical, solutions‑focused approach to problem‑solving within a dynamic sales environment. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload effectively and provide support to the Head of Sales when required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence both decision‑makers and non‑decision‑makers. Demonstrated team‑building ability and a proven track record of developing and maintaining productive customer relationships.
