Learning Support Assistant Location – Hedge End Contract – Part Time and Full Time Start date – January 2026 We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about helping children achieve their best to join one of our welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Hedge End as a Learning Support Assistant. What You’ll Bring Experience supporting children in a primary school or similar educational setting. A positive, patient, and empathetic approach to learning and wellbeing. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff. Flexibility to adapt to different learning needs and classroom settings. Reliability, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude to supporting all learners. A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential). Your Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional or special educational needs. Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that inspire every child to succeed. Help prepare classroom resources and contribute to a positive, stimulating learning environment. Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence in all learners. Be an active part of a caring school community where every child feels valued and supported.
