Don’t miss your chance to be part of something historic The Role We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator - Universities and Colleges Liaison. As we create a Games for a new era of Commonwealth generation, we believe passionately that the next generation should be at the heart of our Games experience. The Organising Company already has positive relationships with Colleges and Universities across Glasgow and further afield. We are now seeking a Project Coordinator to lead on our liaison with those institutions and convert their enthusiasm for the Games into practical delivery outcomes that benefit students. As the central point of contact for Universities and Colleges into the Organising Company you will manage stakeholders, undertake pro-active engagement and build trusted partnerships. Students, Colleges and Universities are central to the success of the Games. From supporting visiting nations with the training for the competition to volunteering opportunities, from skills development initiatives through the creative storytelling. In this liaison role, you will work with functional teams to ensure their engagement with Colleges and Universities in coordinated and contributes to the wider goals of the Organising Company. You will have the holistic view of how we engage across all our internal teams and our external suppliers. With just over 250 days to go until the Games, we are open to secondment opportunities. Job Summary The Project Coordinator will support Glasgow 2026 in the successful delivery of building and maintaining strong relationships with academic institutions, coordinating collaborative initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of University and College focused engagement projects. This role will be the central liaison for the Organising Company with Universities and Colleges, providing administrative, communications and stakeholder engagement support. Experience We are looking for a strong communicator who has excellent written and presentation skills. You need to have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, frequently under pressure and love to multi task. The ideal candidate will have experience in project or programme coordination with strong organisational and administrative skills, and the ability to manage stakeholders, produce written documents and prioritise deadlines. It's key that you have an understanding of approaches to engaging students in sport and cultural events supported with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-stakeholder environment and to build trusted relationships rapidly. Attention to detail and ability to track actions, outputs, and progress is key. Experience in events, sport or culture is not essential to the role; but an interest or passion in these areas is welcome. Why Glasgow 2026?
