CNC Gear Cutting Technician

The Role
We are seeking a CNC Machine Technician, to increase our capability / capacity in this area, working on small batch work.

This role involves working in a small team to deliver high quality transmission components, mainly for the motorsport / aerospace industries, with a right first-time philosophy.

Key Competencies and Experience

Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and planning route cards to produce components to a high standard within routed timeframes
Experience operating the following gear manufacturing machines:
Gleason GP300 ES Shaping Machine
Gleason-Pfauter 200 Hobbing Machine
Liebherr LC20 Hobbing Machine
Strong knowledge of cutting spur gears, helical gears, and splines using hobs and gear data provided in drawings
Able to read, understand, and edit programmes, including modifying speeds and feeds as necessary
Demonstrates a proactive and innovative approach to supporting the team, with a focus on problem solving and continuous improvement
Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing when required
Willingness to work additional hours to meet delivery deadlines
