Security Installation Engineer

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, plus paid overtime, call‑out retainer, and time off in lieu. Main Responsibilities Install, test, and commission security systems to NSI standards. Liaise with customers in a polite, professional, and customer‑focused manner. Accurately record installation details, service notes, and technical information. Participate in the out‑of‑hours call‑out rota. Support management in maintaining consistently high standards across all projects. Represent the company in a professional and trustworthy manner at all times. Undertake additional reasonable duties or support colleagues as directed by the manager or directors. Essential Skills & Experience Full clean UK driving licence. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritise and organise workload to meet tight deadlines. Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with clients. Experience with Texecom, Scantronic, Ajax, Dahua, Hikvision and Paxton systems. Minimum 5 years experience in the security industry, working to NSI standards. Ability to work safely and confidently at heights. Sound technical knowledge of installing and maintaining security systems. Professional, reliable, customer‑focused mindset. Team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments. Self‑motivated, with the ability to follow instructions and work independently. Flexible approach, willing to participate in the call‑out rota and adapt to business needs. Proactive in identifying improvements to processes and systems. Keen to undertake continuous professional development and training. Desirable Advanced IT literacy, particularly for IP‑based systems. Ability to produce clear technical documentation and reports. BTEC or equivalent qualification in security systems. IPAF certification. Familiarity with the local area and routes. Pre‑employment Checks Due to the secure nature of this role, all candidates must undergo BS7858 checks to comply with NSI regulations.
