Wavenet is looking for a skilled and driven Connected Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for the design, configuration, and installation of core network hardware within our connected landlord buildings. You’ll also serve as a key escalation point for our 1st and 2nd line engineering teams, helping to resolve complex issues and lead technical responses during major incidents. Key Responsibilities Design and implement core network solutions, including routers, firewalls, and network switches. Configure and install networking hardware across various sites. Act as an escalation point for the 1st and 2nd line support teams. Lead the technical response to site-wide incidents. Configure equipment to meet project requirements and customer needs. Work with technologies such as WAN, LAN, Internet, WAN Optimisation, SIP Trunking, Security, and Wi-Fi. Why Join Wavenet? Qualifications What We’re Looking For : We\'re seeking a motivated and technically skilled Connected Infrastructure Engineer with a solid background in network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and deploying core networking solutions, particularly in multi-site environments. To succeed in this role, you should bring : Proven experience in network infrastructure engineering, ideally within multi-tenant or geographically dispersed environments. Strong knowledge of core network technologies and protocols, including WAN, LAN, and network security principles. A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Juniper routers and switches, with the ability to confidently configure and troubleshoot Juniper hardware. Experience in the design, deployment, and maintenance of networking hardware, including routers, firewalls, and switches. Advanced troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to lead technical discussions and escalate incidents when needed. Hands-on experience with technologies such as WAN, LAN, SIP Trunking, Wi-Fi, and WAN Optimisation is highly desirable. A current CCNA or JNCIA certification, demonstrating a strong foundation in networking principles and vendor-specific knowledge. A full UK driving licence, as site visits and hardware installations may be required across multiple locations.
