Our on-the-job training and team of experts mean you’ll be set up for success.As part of the Regional Turbine Centre, you will be a Mobile Service Technician, providing professional hands‑on, engine repair work onsite to meet customer requirements to ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved. To travel within the UK or overseas when required to support customer requirements on average 50%.Technical Knowledge / QualificationsRecognised Engineering Apprenticeship and/or Licensed Aircraft Engineer5 years' experience in aviation industryFamiliarisation with Gas Turbine EnginesAged over 21 (aviation authority requirement)Total quality principles, attention to detail and high level of concentrationPC literateValid Passport (minimum 6 months validity) for overseas travelKey ResponsibilitiesProduction duties including Field Service workStrip engines, modules or components in line with engineering instructionsCarry out basic cleaning of componentsInspect relevant components and identify items for scrap, rework or refit with reference to and interpretation of relevant production information and Original Engine Manufacturer (OEM) manuals in accordance with Company Procedures and Quality ManualEnsure all items required for rebuilding are to the required specifications and are available in line with agreed turn time targetsBuild engines, modules or components to defined standard ensuring fits & clearances and modification standards are accuratePrepare rebuilt unit for testingWhere applicable, set up engine, test and ensure all agreed checks are actionedCarry out final checks on completed unit ensuring all paperwork is appropriately stampedUtilise IT systems as appropriateRespond to field trip requests when requestedAs part of our continuing commitment to delight our customers we provide Out of Hours Emergency Cover.
