Joining the Test Department and reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Test Engineer will be responsible for testing electro-optical-mechanical components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems, and recording results accurately, flagging issues to the engineering team, and carrying out fault-finding to diagnose production or design issues.Key Responsibilities:Undertaking Factory Acceptance Tests using standard workshop test equipment such as power supplies, digital multi-meters & oscilloscopes.Assist in creating test procedures and FAT documents.Fault-find electromechanical equipment.Effective communication with both technical and non-technical personnel.Adhere to the company's procedures, policies, and goals.Ensure health & safety regulations and guidelines are followed at all times.Follow procedures as specified in the Quality Manual.Maintain documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly workspace and ensure good project housekeeping.Support continuous improvement activities.Support field service when required.Skills & ExperienceKnowledge of manual testing of electrical and electromechanical systems.Ability to write test plans and FAT documents for new product launches.Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and PCB schematics.Support production and quality activities as needed.ONC or equivalent in Electronics Engineering.Experience with manual testing and integration.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.PCB testing and fault-finding experience.Knowledge of digital camera and video protocols.Experience with automated test software.PLC programming skills.Experience with CAD packages.Understanding of communication protocols and networking infrastructure.Personal AttributesEffective verbal and written communication skills with customers and stakeholders.Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and methodical.Flexible, conscientious, and diligent attitude.Resilient and adaptable.Demonstrates company values of Teamwork, Integrity, Excellence, and Courage.Work life balance:Lunchtime finishes on a Friday28 days annual leaveChristmas closureGroup pension plan with matched contributions up to 5%Income protection and Employee Assistance ProgramAccess to wellbeing services and activitiesCompany shares incentive plan and save as you earn schemeElectric vehicle salary sacrifice schemeRegular social and wellbeing activitiesLearning and development opportunitiesOnsite parking at all locationsSecurity Clearance Requirements:Due to the nature of our business, staff need to obtain UK Security Clearance.
