Role Role: Trainee Teaching Assistant Location: Coventry Salary: £88.40 – £95 per day The Programme Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive training and gain paid on‑the‑job experience under the guidance of our partner schools. Upon a successful interview and completion of necessary checks, including safeguarding and identity verification, candidates will be placed in schools for paid placements to enhance their skills. Personal preferences regarding primary, secondary or SEND provisions will be considered, with continuous support from dedicated consultants. Before commencing placements, candidates will undertake a training programme conducted by ABC Teachers and school leaders, equipping them with essential Teaching Assistant skills. Responsibilities Build positive relationships with students and staff. Manage behaviour. Provide intervention support. Assist children with SEND. Aid in progress tracking and reporting. Requirements Demonstrate compassion, understanding and empathy. Show the ability to forge positive connections with children and young people. Possess a passion for improving educational outcomes. Be flexible, proactive and collaborative team players. Understand the paramount importance of child safety. Articulate motivations for pursuing a career in education and comprehend the role of a Teaching Assistant. Commit to required training and engage in continuous professional development. Be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.
